Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Elo TouchSystems, a leading supplier of touchscreens, has received ISO 9001 certification for quality management and quality assurance standards in design/development, production, service, and support of touchscreens, controllers, and monitor integrations. The certification applies to Elo’s facilities in Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Fremont, Calif. Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited performed the assessment.

“Elo TouchSystems is committed to the continuous improvement of everything we do,” says Elo president and CEO Robert Roeser. “We targeted to meet ISO 9001, which contains the most stringent requirements, and we now have documented systems in place to consistently meet internal and external customer needs.”

Earning ISO 9001 certification will enhance Elo TouchSystems’ participation within the international touchscreen market, according to Roeser. Approximately 75 countries have already adopted the ISO standards.

It sells to a broad range of customers in a variety of markets, including point-of-sale, retail information systems, public kiosks, medical instrumentation, banking, gaming, process control, training, and other applications in which the simplicity of a touch interface makes the power of computers accessible to a wide range of users.
